Go Tigers!

I grew up in a family of teachers.  My mom, dad, grandfather and two uncles were teachers.  My childhood memories are filled with time spent with my parents at the schools where they taught.  My parents and grandparents set positive examples of hard work, dedication and compassion for their students and family which in turn developed in me the desire to become a teacher.  When the time came for me to decide my career I chose teaching.   Teaching was what seemed natural and where I felt I belonged.

I believe that all children should be given the opportunity for an education.  Each child learns in different ways and has individual needs.  A teacher must use a variety of methods and resources to meet the needs of all the children in the classroom.  A teacher should be an expert in the curriculum that she is teaching.   She should be consistently learning and finding new methods and resources to improve her instruction.
